My Page's Birthday

I'm prone to forget all about this, but here it comes:

On September 11 1999, my page appeared first on the net.
In fact it appeared a few days earlier than that.
But September 11 seemed to be a natural date
because it also happens to be my mum's birthday,
and therefore I had prepared a special page for her
that went to the net on that day.

September 11, 2001 is a date one cannot easily forget for quite another reason. It's the day of events of horror and of deeds the French president later said the only word to fit them was "monstrous".
It's not a day to celebrate; and therefore the candles above are not really there to symbolise candles on a birthday cake, but rather to commerorate the many thousand of innocent victims who had to die the day this page happened to be on the net for two years.
